Sherwood-Type of Assessments and How They Will Assess

Type of Assessments and How they will assess Student Performance:

Students will be assessed on their deliverables, as well as in-class participation.

* Products:
o three blog entries in the 100-200 words. Blog entries should be topical, grammatical, and reflective.
o a manipulated photo posted on their "blog". Photo should have multiple layers (3-6), not have image "noise" left over from backgrounds, and be feasible.
o a written "internet joke or hoax" to accompany their manipulated image. The written description should lend an explanation to the picture, and create a scenario to understand how and when this "picture" was taken.
* Participation:
o class participation in discussions.
o blog participation in terms of positive feedback on peer posts.
* Quiz: An Moodle quiz where students must correctly indentify hoaxes, jokes, and real events.
