Ryan Hakoda and Mike Andrews Final Cut Course

For every session, there will be a project assigned in addition to the video and text exercises in each lesson. Each session will work on developing skills to be performed for that particular project and won’t be due until the following session (E.g. Session 1 project due by the end of Session 2). All projects will have footage provided for them to edit. When the assignment is complete they will be submitted through the Moodle forums. The projects consist of:

Session1- One-minute storyline
• Organize footage provided
• Make basic cuts in footage
• Match audio with footage

Session 2- Two-minute documentary/interview
• Organize footage provided
• Usage of time code to make cuts
• Applying transitions to both footage and audio
• Inserting titles

Session 3- Two-minute music video
• Organize footage provided
• Usage of special effects
• Edit to your choice of music
• Layering footage
• Usage of markers
• Chance to be as CREATIVE as possible
