This article compared the two largest LMS systems used in non-profit and for-profit higher education; Blackboard and Elearning. The conclusion that they came to was that both are great and meet the needs for specific higher education institutions. The article predicted that neither would be disappearing any time soon. It also mentioned a new LMS that the University of Phoenix is creating that has both of the two a bit worried.
