Description of Course Content

Session 1- Introduction to the Promethean ActivBoard and Main Toolbar
a. Learners will log into Atomic Learning and complete the Getting Started tutorials
b. Learners will practice each of the main ToolBox tools (ActivPen, pen color, pen width, highlighter, Undo, Redo, Erase, Spay Bottle, Reveal, Spotlight).
c. Learners will explore the Resource Library
d. Learners will complete MY FIRST FLIPCHART activity

After the completion of the activities listed above, learners will be able to create simple ActivStudio flipchart activity pages using available tools and resources.

Session 2- Introduction to the Promethean Planet and Flipchart Editing
a. Learners will log into Atomic learning and complete the Manipulating Existing Items tutorials
b. Learners will Create Accounts on Promethean Planet
c. Learners will download a standards-based flipchart to their desktop (grade level and topic appropriate)
d. Learners will practicing modifying the downloaded flipchart using the resource library
e. Learners will log into Atomic learning and complete the More Tools tutorials
f. Learners will complete the Promethean Planet Scavenger Hunt activity

After the completion of the activities listed above, learners will be able to download existing flipcharts by topic or academic content standard and modify the content to meet the needs of their individual grade level curriculum.
