The teacher will assess the student knowledge using the Quiz Module tool in Moodle. The questions will be a combination of multiple-choice and short answers. This formative assessment will check for student understanding of content prior to moving on to the next inverstigation in the Structures of Life module. Students will be quizzed on the following:

* Define adaptation and how environment affects adaptations
* Name the four types of adaptations
* Identify adaptations for movement, protection/defense, getting food, and raising young.
* Give two examples of adaptations and how these adapations help an animal survive in its environment
