The following describes assessment means for the course, Concepts of Heroism, designed for 9th grade English Students in California.

Students will be assessed via two lesson modules: one will be completed during lesson one, and one will be completed at the end of the 6-lesson sequence. The first will instruct students. The last will ask students to review and reflect on concepts of heroism as presented/ studied throughout the course, and will also check for understanding of key concepts, terms, and research methodology. Both lesson modules will include various types of questions: multiple choice, short answer, and essay.
