This article was very interesting and educational at the same time. I can see this LMS as being very successful to our country and around the world. This article gives me ideas that I could bring back to my classroom. If I had the power to design my own LMS, it would be very similar to this LMS article. My ideal LMS would have the following:

Flexibility- Flexible schedule such as having synchronous classes but allow student to listen to archived classes if they missed a class without penalty. There will be blended asynchronous and synchronous classes to accommodate students with a busy schedule. Another flexible trait would be allowing students to design their own curriculum with teacher’s guidance. Students will design their curriculum and learn their own curriculum at their own pace.

Interactivity- My course would be designed for students to interact and communicate with their peers and their teachers. Effective communication skill is so important to today’s society and I think this is a must for all LMS. My course would require students to interact in different groups, pairs and with the instructors weekly. I think it is very important to learn with guidance as well as learning from different people.

Customize learning environment-My LMS would customize my students’ learning level based on their abilities. Everyone learns at a different level and pace and I think that is very important. My LMS would allow a self-paced module that lets students complete their assignments on their own. Their assignments would then be due at the end of the course but are not timed during the course.
