EdTec 700 LMS Moodle Project- Ditman/Ellis/Harlan
Type & description of collaborative interactions:
We will use the Moodle topic layout to clearly separate our learning into 3 modules.
We will use the events calendar for reminders of due dates and class meetings to help the student with class management and organization.
The Forum and Chat tools will be used to support interaction and collaboration among classmates. Forum participation will be required for posting links assignments.
The chat tool will be used to ask questions of classmates and to complete the in-class tagging assignment. Most of our staff have never interacted online, either in a forum, blog post or chat, so these activities in the Moodle will prepare the student for sharing information online.
We will take advantage of the file upload and resources tools to provide students with required website links and additional resource links. Presenting these links to the students helps to make them aware of online tools that are available for self-directed learning
We will use a quiz activity to create a pre- and post skill assessment. The Pre-test will determine the knowledge level of our students and how we might need to tailor the lesson to the group's needs. Using the same questions for a post-test will help us to determine how much the students learned.
