Type and description of deliverables:
The first deliverable will be a written, testable hypothesis to be posted to the forum between the class meetings my course describes. Each student will be responsible for writing their own hypothesis and posting comments or questions about at least 2 of their classmates' hypotheses. the hypothesis should reflect a question that the student has relating to the concept of thermal energy and heat conduction.
The second deliverable, to be written by a team of 2-3 that is working on the same hypothesis, is a document outlining the experiment to be performed that will confirm or disprove their hypothesis. The experiment should be designed in such a way that it could be carried out by the students using basic, easily available materials. The experiment outline should be posted to the course blog.
The final deliverable is a written report of the group's findings regarding their hypothesis and the results of the experiment. It should describe the group's experiment and how it changed and improved their understanding of the concepts of thermal energy and conduction. The experiment report should be posted to the course blog.
