Students will be required to create a few deliverables. To start the theme off, students will be required to bring in a photo that depicts one of their family's traditions. Before sharing it with the class, they will be asked to write a paragraph describing their family tradition. When complete, they will read their paragraphs and share them with the class. These will then posted in Moodle.
After each story, they will need to identify the tradition being celebrated by the characters depicted and respond to a prompt on the classroom blog page.
Finally, to focus on vocabulary, students will create vocabulary art flip books. For each story students will have to write the word, complete a sentence frame and then illustrate a picture that shows each word in detail. I would like to figure out a away to post these on the Moodle. Scanning may be a possibility.
