Assessments: Plants

To assess the unit I will look at the goals that I set in the beginning of the unit and check on the understanding of the concepts I set out to teach.

1. During the unit I will make informal observations of the students to identify what they are learning. I will also read their responses to the various activities to check for understanding of the concept taught that day.

2. I will have an open response question for the students at the end of the unit, where they will have to write their best response to (they may write or draw their answer based on skill level):
Identify what plants need to live and grow

3. I will have an activity where students will need to label the various parts of a plant.
