Deliverable #1: Paragraph description of learning tactics:
Students will be writing a one paragraph summary of at least three of the tactics they used based on the video and personal research that helped them remember the shapes of the states. This is basically an analysis of the study skills students used as the prepared for their US map quiz.
Deliverable #2: Creation of political cartoon:
Students will be creating their own political cartoon about US imperialism or WWI. This will be the culmination of a module where students will be studying and analyzing political cartoons. These cartoons will be based on one of two topics of study: US imperialism or WWI. There are many examples available online for students to model their cartoon on. This should be quite helpful for students as the create their own.
Deliverable 3: Blog post of reactions to Stock Market Game:
Students will be posting their reactions to the Stock Market Game in the form of a blog post. After playing the Stock Market Game in class, students will write about their personal experiences. Later they will be commenting on each others posts.
