Aldworth/Barclay Collaborative Interaction Descriptions

Module 1 Interaction: United States Map Blog discussion:
Students will be blogging about the map of the United States. Students will be answering questions such as "Why do the states have their shapes?" "Which characteristics do we use to differentiate certain states from each other?" etc. The blogging component of module 1 will come after students have viewed the video as well as doing their own personal research including studying the map of the US and other online research.

Module 2 Interaction: Wiki peer review of Political Cartoon:
Students will be writing responses and reviews of political cartoons created by fellow students. In this free response portion, students will looking at the other student created political cartoons and writing about each. This will come obviously after students have created their political cartoon on either WWI or US imperialism.

Module 3 Interaction: Forum responses to student posts
Students will be responding to the personal experiences from the Stock Market Game in a forum. This will allow students to interact with each other online and see how each student experienced the Stock Market simulation. In the forum, students will be able to quickly respond to each other and commiserate with fellow "losers" or celebrate with fellow "winners".
